Mikisa Events & Activities

Mikisa Group of Schools hosts a diverse range of events throughout the academic year, each carefully crafted to enrich students’ experiences, foster personal growth, and build a strong sense of community. Our school events provide students with opportunities to learn, connect, and thrive both inside and outside the classroom. These events are integral to creating a dynamic and supportive environment where students can flourish academically, socially, and spiritually.

Graduation Ceremony

This grand celebration marks the culmination of students’ academic journey at Mikisa. It’s a momentous occasion filled with pride, accomplishment, and farewells, as graduates embark on their next chapter in life.

Sports Day

This occurs termly and it promotes physical fitness, teamwork and healthy competition among students. Sports Day at Mikisa Schools is a day of spirited games, cheers and camaraderie, fostering a sense of sportsmanship and school spirit.

Career Week

This is usually a dynamic week-long program designed to expose students to various career paths, industries, and opportunities. Career week at Mikisa Schools features guest speakers, workshops and hands-on-activities to help students explore their interests and envision their future careers.

Week of Spiritual Emphasis

This is an informative event inviting all students, parents and Mikisa Community at large to the school campus, to see the hard work of students. The students showcase captivating projects which reflect on what they have been learning in school. Open Day also provides an opportunity for visitors to experience the school’s vibrant atmosphere and educational ethos firsthand.

Civvies Day

This is a fun and relaxed day at school where students are permitted to dress in African attire or attires with a touch of African fabric and print. This helps to create a sense of belonging and unity as students embrace the concept of diversity and well us their cultural heritage.

Open Day

A dedicated week focused on nurturing students’ spiritual growth, reflection and community service. During the spiritual week of emphasis, the school organizes prayer sessions, inspirational talks, discipleship training and outreach programs to instill values of compassion, empathy and unity among students.

Field Trips

The students go for educational field trips every year, which provide real-world learning experiences, cultural exposure and opportunities for social interactions. These trips also foster curiosity and expand students’ perspectives beyond the classroom.

Weekly Chapel

Every Thursday, our students, staff, and faculty gather for a time of worship and a message from God. Services are held for pre-school, elementary, staff, and a combined worship experience for middle school and high school. Our speakers and message are carefully selected to provide grade-level and appropriate content that nourishes the students spiritually.
